Annual Oodles of Noodles cook-off set to return June 6-7

Oodles of Noodles, Dayton’s annual street festival that celebrates the area’s Italian and Chinese history and offers food and business vendors, live music and other entertainment, is happening this year June 6-7 in Old Town Dayton.

The 14th annual event will feature live entertainment by The Localz Band, Bandits, Badges and Bloomers Gunfighters and Jamel the Magician.

Nevada River Wranglers will be on hand, as well as a bounce house for children and rides on Lorie’s Pony Express. A pet parade is also planned.

Carson City RV will be showcasing RVs, and new 2015 vehicles will be showcased by Carson City Toyota Scion with motorcycles by Carson Motor Sports.

The Oodles of Noodles contest is happening from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Saturday’s event. Tasting tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children. All skill levels are welcome to enter either the amateur or professional categories

This year’s sponsors are Nevada Appeal, Pioneer Crossing Casino, Wells Fargo, Sun Opta, and The Webstaurant.

The Dayton Chamber of Commerce will be “Making a Difference” supporting Safe Grad Night for Dayton High School in efforts to keep youth out of harm’s way.
