The Carson City Senior Center hosted its “Salute to our Veterans” event with more than 200 veterans Tuesday.
Individuals honoring our veterans gathered to celebrate our service members, including Mayor Robert Crowell and City Manager Nick Marano. The Carson High JROTC presented the colors and prepared individual speeches about each branch. Crowell gave a tribute to the veterans and their family members. Veterans who fought in WWII, a Purple Heart recipient, and several who had attended the Honor Flight in Washington, D.C., were among those who were honored.
