Construction workers and heavy equipment worked on Washington Street the past week trenching on a water main project aimed eventually at linking with the west side Quill Water Plant in 2018. This phase of the long term project, costing more than $1.5 million, is between Roop and Phillips streets. The previous phase cost $2 million and spanned Mills Park from Saliman Road to Roop.
