(Perasich brothers; continued from Friday). In the stage was Aschim, his mother, sister and another woman with children. The driver sent word back from Clear Creek that no one was hurt. Sheriff Swift promptly arrested the Perasich brothers. It is well known they are Italians, and have an intense degree the revengeful characteristics of their countrymen.

(Demented politicians; continued from Friday). The Appeal stands in the same building where it has stood for years, and it stands like a stone wall. In ancient times, we are told that the noise made by an army of men blowing through ran’s horns overthrew the walls of Jericho, but nowhere in the sacred book are we asked to believe that the braying of a single jackass ever accomplished any such result.

Mrs. Caroline Belknap of Boston was a visitor to Carson yesterday. She is the daughter of Alfred Jacques of Wonder, and was raised in Carson. She visited the old jail in the courthouse. She said of all the places in Carson this was the most interesting because it was the most primitive she’s seen in America. A saloon situated in the court house was also a revelation to her.

70 years ago

Easily the largest display of fireworks in the history of the state of Nevada will be shown here the evening of Nevada Day. It will also be the first use of fireworks in Nevada since Pearl Harbor.
