A site in Pershing County, northeast of Carson City, was discovered with many valuable finds of prehistoric life in Nevada. One of the caves scientists explored contained mummified humans of many thousands of years ago. One of these mummies, wrapped in a cedar bark robe, is shown being uncovered by Phil C. Orr, an archeologist.
