First responders offered free yoga classes in Carson City

Hot Spot Yoga, an infrared hot yoga studio on Winnie Lane in Carson City, is offering first responders free classes through the end of the year.

Offered seven days weekly, the classes are once or twice daily for yoga and once daily on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays for stretch foam rolling class work. Information on times and other matters may be obtained from the studio’s website at carsoncityhotspot.com or by telephoning the studio, which is at 195 E. Winnie Lane, by dialing (775) 250-6343.

First responders are being offered the classes as a thank you for their service.

Hot Spot Yoga bills itself as pairing ancient and traditional yoga benefits with the modern benefits of infrared heat. The studio bills infrared heat as like heat from the sun, and says it penetrates muscle tissue to produce a healthy stress response within affected muscles in a manner that mimics moderate exercise.
