Carson City health inspections for Sept. 23

Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for Sept. 23. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:

Avanti Markets Nevada at Harley Davidson, 3850 Arrowhead Drive, scored 100 points.

C-A-L Ranch Stores, 2035 N. Carson St., 100 points.

Carson City School District Central Warehouse, W. Telegraph and Richmond streets, 100 points.

Eagle Valley Middle School, 4151 E. Fifth St., 100 points.

Living the Good Life, bar, Living the Good Life, 1480 N. Carson St., 100 points.

Mark Twain Elementary School, 2111 Carriage Crest Drive, 100 points.

Pho Country, 2495 N. Carson St., 96 points. Unwrapped egg rolls were found in the reach-in freezer. Lids of garbage storage containers were open. Shelves near the reach-in freezer were dirty.

Port of Subs, 3721 N. Carson St., 90 points. A child was found in a work area at the back of the restaurant. Windows and blinds were dirty. Interior thermometers were missing from refrigerators and freezers. There was no certified food handler on duty.

Living the Good Life, restaurant, 1480 N. Carson St., 88 points. The dishwasher was missing chlorine residual in its final rinse. A gap in the rear entry door made the facility vulnerable for insect and rodent entry. Paper towels were missing at the employee hand wash sink, corrected on site. Exhaust hood baffles were dirty.
