A California man died after he collapsed on the Tahoe Rim Trail on Monday morning.
Charles Brust, 64, of Pacifica, Calif., left the south parking lot of Spooner Summit to go bicycle riding.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, at about 10:15 a.m. rescuers received a call that he had collapsed and wasn’t breathing.
A retired paramedic began CPR and continued until Tahoe Douglas firefighters and Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at 10:26 a.m.
