Visiting Rotarian Attends 973rd Makeup Meeting: Fred Showers, a visiting Rotarian from his home club in Pittsburgh, Pa., announced that yesterday’s meeting was his 973rd make-up meeting since he has been affiliated with the civic organization. The consensus is Showers is an avid and loyal clubman.

Owners of residential vehicles barely missed having stiff time schedules placed on them when they park in Carson City’s parking lots. The Board of Supervisors scrapped any consideration of the ordinance on second reading, calling it expensive and unworkable.
