Winter storm coming Wednesday to Northern Nevada

The recent spring-like temperatures will soon be replaced by more normal temperatures as a storm system comes into Northern Nevada starting Wednesday.

The National Weather Service in Reno predicts the wind to pickup early Wednesday morning. The wind is expected to be the strongest in the afternoon and evening. The wind is supposed to turn to light rain Wednesday night. The rain is expected to turn to snow by 4 a.m. and continue throughout daylight hours on Thursday. Snow is predicted on all valley floors with a few inches expected about 5,000 feet and less than an inch on the lower valley floors.
