Carson City woman photographs eagles at Topaz Lake

Sue McCune of Carson City sent these photos of eagles on Topaz Lake on Feb. 12.

“We were going to launch our boat and saw a golden eagle in the cottonwood trees along the north shore. A few hundred yards further was a bald eagle so we stopped to get some photos. To our amazement the golden eagle flew toward the bald eagle harassing it until the bald eagle took flight and chased the golden eagle away,” McCune said.

She said the bald eagle then landed in another tree where a second bald eagle was perched.
