Ebb and flow of weather in Carson City

North Kings Canyon Creek is flowing thanks to spring-like temperatures in Carson City this past week, however, according to the National Weather Service a strong frontal system will bring heavy mountain snowfall to the Cascades and the Sierra Nevada mountain ranges through Thursday. One to Two feet of snow could accumulate over the higher elevations of the Sierra. Lower elevations could see moderate to locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds and travel may be impacted.
