On Friday, 39 employers will be available at the Carson City Community Center to meet with potential employees seeking a wide variety of career opportunities.

Also available will be 17 important resource companies to provide needed assistance on how to obtain training and assistance in seeking the right job.

The Carson City Chamber and the Carson City Health & Human Services Department are once again partnering to bring employers and employees together in fields to include manufacturing, retail, government and hospitality.

The State of Nevada and NDOT will provide the current job opportunities and assistance on how to obtain these jobs. Lowe’s and Home Depot are looking for the right people to assist in their retail outlets. Harrah’s, Harvey’s, Nugget Casino, Casino Fandango, Gold Dust West and Cactus Jack’s are offering job opportunities within their establishments. Those who enjoy working in home health care can meet with several companies dedicated to this field.

Manufacturing remains an important employment base for our community. Representatives from North Sails, PPF Production and American Buildings Company are seeking qualified employees.

Available also will be several temporary agencies for those seeking part-time employment and representatives from insurance agencies for those who wish to begin a career in insurance.

The job fair begins at 1:30 p.m. for veterans and 2 p.m. for the all others. The event ends at 4:30 p.m. It is suggested job seekers dress for success and to bring a recent résumé.
