Local poet and write Glade Myler will be signing books from 1-5 p.m. March 5 at Comma Coffee.

Carson City’s Myler will be signing his second book “Perspectives.” His first book was “Through the Eye of Needle.” It was released in March 2014.

The books feature poems written in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

The poems in Spanish and Portuguese are followed with the corresponding translation of the poem into English.

Myler’s wife, Carolyn, took the photographs in the book. The photo on the cover of “Perspectives” is of Cloud Gate, a public sculpture in Chicago’s Millennium Park.

Myler said he has written more than 560 poems in his lifetime. First getting into poetry in high school, where he said a high school teacher inspired him. He said he draws a lot of inspiration today from Nevada’s beauty and the four seasons.

Glade and Carolyn moved to Carson City in 1989.
