Nevada No. 7 place to live

Nevada ranked seventh in 2015 as a moving destination, according to a national movers study by United Van Lines released Monday.

Oregon, for the third straight year, ranked first.

The state to the northwest of Nevada was followed in order by South Carolina, Vermont, Idaho, North Carolina and Florida, with Nevada next and the District of Columbia coming in eighth. The top 10 included Texas next, and Washington state.

Oregon was the most popular destination with 69 percent of moves in 2015 being inbound. Nevada was seventh with 57 percent of moves being inbound.

Nevada, according to the study, was on the high inbound list for the fifth consecutive year.

Top 10 outbound states were led by New Jersey, followed by New York in second place on that list.

Others on the outbound list, third through 10th, were Illinois, Connecticut, Ohio, Kansas, Massachusetts, West Virginia, Mississippi and Maryland.
