Centering prayer workshop planned
A method of silent prayer will be taught in an introductory workshop from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 6 at St. Gall Catholic Church, 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville.
The workshop will cover centering prayer, or how to consent to God’s presence and healing action within. Three two-hour follow-up sessions are planned on Wednesdays, Feb. 10 and 24.
The cost is $40, a fee that includes refreshments, registration for an outreach newsletter and materials, including Father Thomas Keating’s book, “Open Mind, Open Heart: The Contemplative Dimension of the Gospel.” Scholarships are available upon request.
