Myers moves to Frontier Communications

Jojo Myers, president of Dayton’s Chamber of Commerce and Northern Nevada Development Authority’s director of corporate development and special projects, is leaving those posts for another with Frontier Communications.

“The opportunity had to be amazing,” said Myers, citing her love of economic development. She said it is and she begins Monday as Frontier’s area manager with offices in Gardnerville. The authority’s office is in Carson City.

Myers said she was Dayton chamber vice president for two years and president for four. She said her tenure there ends today at the chamber’s annual Board of Director’s retreat.

She said she also has been finishing up some special projects for the authority, which handles economic development for the region that includes Carson City plus surrounding counties.

She looks forward to maintaining, sustaining and expanding Frontier’s footprint in the service area and called the communications firm an amazing company. “They’re a huge company; they’re in 29 states,” she said.

John Stevens will take over as Dayton Chamber president.
