The U.S. Engineer’s Office at Sacramento recently entered into a contract with Harms Bros. and N.M. Ball & Son, contractors of Sacramento for the construction of paving facilities at the Minden airport.

The work called for under the contract includes construction of extensions of the runways and taxiways, at the approximate cost of $100,000.

The construction of the Minden airport was started in June 1942. All of the facilities were built under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Engineer’s Office, Sacramento District. The estimated expenditure is $800,000 for the installation now in place.
