A wind advisory remains in effect for Carson City until 7 p.m. today, according to the National Weather Service.
South to southwest winds between 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are forecasted. Strong wind gusts will hinder traffic and cause delays.
The snow level is between 6,000-6,500 feet with rain on the valley floors.
