Church hosting annual rummage sale Aug. 5-6
St. Gall Catholic Church is gearing up for its annual rummage sale, which is taking place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 5 and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 6.
Strollers, carts and dogs, with the exception of service dogs, are not permitted.

Salvation Army Church hosting Big Splash Party
The Salvation Army serving Carson City and Douglas County will be celebrating all of its away campers and day campers for the 2016 summer when it will hold its Big Splash Party on July 31.
There will be prizes for children and their families, as well as games, a water slide, food, performances from the creative arts campers, and the annual summer camps report from Captain Mark. Bring a bathing suit for the water slide.
The event starts at 10:45 a.m. The Salvation Army is at 661 Colorado St.
