Nova Lumadue of Minden poses with her 1959 Volvo 544 Friday during the Silver Dollar Classic Car Show at the Max Casino. Ms. Lumadue has owned the car since she was 13 years old and has been restoring it over the years. This is the 2nd time she has shown the Volvo.
The Silver Dollar Car Classic continues today from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. with vendors, hot rods, and live music at Mills Park. The classic starts with a pancake breakfast sponsored by the Kiwanis. Registration runs until 11 a.m. if you’re interested in getting your vehicle in on the competition. On Sunday, the classic begins at 8 a.m. with more Kiwanis pancakes. Join the Silver Dollar Classic Poker Run from 8 a.m. to noon.
