Erin Burns Joins Sierra Nevada Ear, Nose & Throat

Erin Burns, PA-C has joined Sierra Nevada Ear, Nose & Throat (SNENT) as a physician’s assistant.

Burns has worked in a variety of clinical settings since 2006, including neurosurgery, general surgery, pediatrics and urgent care. When she joined SNENT this year, she was finally able to focus on a specialty that had piqued her interest from childhood, when her youngest brother had severe ear issues growing up and she used to help with his care. Because of this experience, she knew at the age of 8 she wanted to work in medicine.

Burns is dedicated to advancing her skills and knowledge as made obvious by the certifications she has earned in her career: National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Advanced Cardiac Life Support/Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Drug Enforcement Agency and American Academy of Physician.

Originally from Jacksonville, Fla., Burns and her husband of 11 years have two school-age children. When she’s not working, you’ll find her skiing, diving, training for half marathons and spending time with her family.

All of SNENT’s otolaryngologists are board-certified. SNENT has offices in Carson City, Gardnerville and Fallon. For more information, go to www.sierranevadaent.com.
