A person died at in the 1700 block of 10th Street in Silver Springs Monday morning.
Central Lyon Co. Fire received a report of a structure fire at 8:53 a.m. The Engine and Battalion Chief arrived on scene at 9:08 a.m. to find the residence charged with smoke. Upon entry the crew located a victim and extinguished a room and contents fire. The victim died at the scene. The fire is currently under investigation by the Nevada State Fire Marshal’s Office.
No other injuries were reported. Central Lyon received mutual assistance from: Mason Valley Fire, North Lyon Fire, Storey County Fire and Carson City Fire.
