Nevada Appeal at 150: Feb. 6, 1943: Errol Flynn freed by Hollywood jury

Errol Flynn was today acquitted by the jury on the charge of statutory rape involving two teenage girls.

An early dispatch stated the jury returned to its deliberations this morning.

Rumors then were the jury was deadlocked, 10 to 2, but whether the majority was for or against conviction was not then known.

This continues the Appeal’s review of news stories and headlines during its Sesquicentennial year.
