Bell of Nevada contracted recently to tunnel under main arteries in Carson City to avoid digging trenches and disrupting traffic. More than 4,000 feet of underground cable is being laid to link the central office in Carson City with the $1 million equipment building under construction at Stewart and Caroline streets.
