NEARING completion is the $700,000 Nevada Industrial Commission building located on the block surrounded by Musser, Valley, King and Anderson streets.

A new three-story office building is going up in Carson City on the northwest corner of Ann and Plaza streets.

The building, to be known as Carson Professional Building, will be just north of the civic auditorium. It will be modern in every aspect and will have a full basement plus the three stories above ground. It will have a modern heating and air conditioning system and the latest type of self-service elevator.

The outside walls will be of white finished concrete, and the sidewalk and lobby of the building will be green with mica imbedded.

The main entrance to the structure will be on Plaza Street with a side entrance on Ann Street. Above the main door will be larger glass windows, which will enclose the stairwell so that it will be visible from outside.

This continues the Appeal’s review of news stories and headlines during its Sesquicentennial year.
