The Dayton Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars honored Officer Joe Huizer as Lyon County’s Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer of the Year in a ceremony on May 4.
The annual award went to Officer Huizer for his skill in solving crimes and supporting other officers.
