Carson City road advisory board taking applications

The application for Carson City’s new citizens advisory board on streets is now available at the city’s web site.

Transportation Resource Advisory Forum for Carson City — or TRAFCC —will meet with city staff in a public forum to discuss street maintenance, traffic and funding.

TRAFCC will have up to 23 members and 10 spots are reserved for members of the public who apply.

When selecting members from the applicants, staff will attempt to include representatives from each of the city’s four wards.

TRAFCC is expected to hold meetings from June through December of this year. Meeting dates have not yet been scheduled, but the forum is expected to meet in the evening on weekdays.

The meetings will be open to the public and will be video recorded and streamed live via the city’s web site, if possible.

The deadline to apply is May 23, but may be closed prior to that if sufficient applications are received.
