Carson City health inspections

Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for October 28. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:

Burger King, 3589 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

Peg’s Glorified Ham N Eggs, 3697 S. Carson St., 99 points. Outer surfaces of the waste grease receptacle were dirty.

7-Eleven, 3232 E. Highway 50, 94 points. Eggs were found past their expiration date; the eggs were removed during the inspection. A hand wash sink was missing liquid soap and disposable paper towels. Garbage was found on the ground behind the garbage storage containers in the waste storage area.

Jack in the Box, 3225 Retail Drive, 93 points. The high temperature dishwasher didn’t reach a final rinse temperature of 180 degrees. A certified food handler wasn’t on duty.

Carson Donut, 3170 S. Carson St., Suite 10, follow-up inspection, 88 points. A child was found behind the counter in the work area of the shop. Evidence was found indicating staff members were eating in the preparation area during business hours. A chlorine test kit to measure sanitizer concentration was missing. The three compartment sink needed to be repaired.
