LGBTQ Community Center Celebrates Grand Opening After Years of Fundraising
A labor of love for members of northern Nevada’s LGBTQ community, a small group of individuals who formed the nonprofit organization Build Our Center opens the doors to northern Nevada’s only LGBTQ community center the weekend of Friday, April 29. In celebration of the achievement, which was years in the making, a ribbon cutting with Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve takes place at the new OUR Center at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, followed by a grand opening celebration starting at noon on Saturday, April 30.
