Bobbi Shanks

Bobbi Shanks, school nurse coordinator for the Elko County School District, has been named at CDC Childhood Champion or her efforts to promote childhood immunization in the state of Nevada.

Shanks’ team of nurses also was honored for its promotion of child immunization in the rural areas of northeastern Nevada. The team awarded The Johnson & Johnson School Health Leadership Scholarship for improving student health practices and awarded a poster presentation at the National Association of School Nurses Conference.
