Steve Smith

Steve Smith has been hired as chief information officer and vice provost for information technology at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Smith, who has more than 30 years experience in information technology industry, most recently was associate vice president and deputy chief information officer for the University of Hawaii System.

He also was CIO for the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, as well as for the University of Alaska System.
