Truckee Meadows Community College has launched a “TMCC Gift of Education” contest to encourage non-traditional students (age 25 or older) to earn a degree.
The winner will receive scholarship for three free, three-credit classes at TMCC, a $500 book stipend and an iPad Air 2.
To enter “TMCC Gift of Education” potential students must submit a 150-250 word essay that tells their story, including any financial need barriers, and also describes what education means to them.
