Peter Garrett has been chosen to play in an All-American Game in soccer.

Every high school athlete’s dream: to be named an All-American in their sport. To do this, one would have to participate in an organized All-American game. For Carson High senior Peter Garrett, his soccer dreams are being lived in early December, when he will travel to Raleigh, N.C., from the 1-4. “It’s called the All-American High School Soccer Game,” Garrett proudly claimed. He led his team to the state championship last season against Wooster and is training for this event by working hard during the high school soccer season. “The coaches and staff from the match nominate people from each state, and I was the only kid from Nevada; then a month goes into looking over your records, and from there they select the top 20 players from the east and the west, and I was one of the selections,” Garrett said with a grin. At first, Garrett said he did plan on playing soccer in college, but wasn’t sure where yet. With further consideration, he finally said, “San Diego State that would be great.”
