Rob Scanland, president of Kiwanis Club of Sierra Nevada, visited the Carson River on Sunday and took this picture of trash that needs to be picked up. The Kiwanis Clubs of Carson City and Sierra Nevada and Carson High School’s NJROTC are inviting the community to take part in the 27th annual Carson River Cleanup on Saturday. Registration begins at 8 a.m. at Silver Saddle Ranch. Lunch will be provided.
