The Reno City Council and Redevelopment Agency Board will participate in an Affordable Housing Workshop on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Reno City Hall.
Review of affordable housing related to plans, policies, and programs and potential direction to staff on strategies to address the city’s affordable housing efforts moving forward.
This workshop was requested by Council and is designed to provide a deeper understanding of the housing market in Reno, the needs of the local community, best practices from around the country, and existing programs and activities in the Reno region. The end goal of this workshop is identifying ways Reno can take action to better address issues centered around affordability.
City staff will participate in the facilitation of the workshop, in addition to representatives of Economic and Planning Systems (EPS) and Vecino Group, among others. View the Staff Report for more information.
