Suspect on loose after Subway armed robbery in Carson City

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect involved in an early morning armed robbery at Subway Thursday morning.

Around 9:55 a.m., deputies responded to the Winnie Lane Subway for reports of an armed robbery. Allegedly a white adult male, entered the restaurant with a handgun and demanded money from the employees behind the counter.

The suspect is described as 5-feet 7-inches to 5-feet 10-inches with a stocky build. He was wearing a dark colored T-shirt, light colored blue jeans, tennis shoes, a two-toned baseball style hat, sunglasses and a mask covering his mouth and nose area.

Three employees and a customer were in the restaurant at the time and gave the robber an undisclosed amount of money from the restaurant and customer. The suspect then left the business in an unknown direction.

The Sheriff’s Office utilized a tracking K9, however the suspect was not located in the search of the area.

No one was injured in the robbery.
