CGI, Inc. conducts a job fair today and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 3675 Arrowhead Dr., Carson City.
CGI has immediate openings for Day Shift: receptionist, facilities assistant, payroll/hr clerk I, manual machinist I, production expeditor, mechanical inspector, CNC gear cut set-up machinist II, manufacturing mechanical engineer, mechanical engineer/gear design and automation.
Swing Shift positions: CNC laser weld - EDM machinist, CNC mill programmer/set-up machinist II, CNC Swiss programmer/set-up machinist I and CNC lathe programmers/set-up machinist II.
Potential machinist candidates should the following as a minimum: knowledge of basic PC functions, ability to work with minimal supervision, ability to read blueprints and technical data, willing to work swing shift (if applicable) and overtime, strong knowledge of CNC controls and machine functions, positive attitude, ability to work in a team and willingness to learn, able to measure tight tolerances using micrometers, indications, etc.
Job fair attendees will have an opportunity to speak with department leads and may be asked to take an aptitude test to determine positions that are a best fit for each individual.
All applicants must pass a drug screening.
