An open letter to Sen. Dean Heller

Dear Mr. Heller, the title of Senator is a misnomer for you really have failed as a Nevada representative.

Attempts to contact you by phone over the course of several days and weeks have met with failure. Too busy to answer your phone or to have clerks take a message? Several letters to you have been answered with scripted messages that repeat from one letter to the next, basically saying nothing and never answering the questions asked of you.

Historically Nevada has had one of the poorest standards for education and now by having cast an affirmative vote for Betsy DeVos, Education Secretary, you have proven yourself to be supportive of maintaining these low standards. It is apparent that party cronyism surpasses high standards of office.

Irrespective of political party, one would think it critical to ensure that each cabinet position be filled with a person possessing knowledge and skills suitable for each cabinet post rather than supporting your political persuasion without any thought to qualifications.

Remember, Mr. Heller, your Senate seat will be ending in 2018 and as a voter I will spread the word that this will be your last session.
