Light, love, salt and peace

“Arise and shine for your LIGHT has come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall rise upon you, and His glory shall be seen upon you.”

This is what the prophet Isaiah in 60:1 and 2 says to the Lord’s people. Are you one?

Jesus is the Light of the world, says John 1:18 and 8:12.

Jesus says he is light.

Psalm 93 says today if you would hear his voice, harden not your heart.

Luke 14:35 says he who has ears, let him hear.

We have much darkness, rebellion, protests, murders going on, but there’s also much light available.

Jesus also gave two commandments that would solve a lot of problems:

LOVE God will all your heart (Matthew 22:37-39)

LOVE your neighbor as yourself

We’re commanded to love in John 15: 12,17. Walking in love and light are connected.

SALT and light are together. The Lord’s people are to be salt and light. Salt preserves and gives flavor. If it loses its flavor, it’s of no use, it’s thrown out and trampled by men.

We’re asked to have PEACE with one another.

Arise and shine in this season spreading the light, love, salt, and peace of the Lord.

That is my prayer this time for us.
