St. Teresa of Avila Catholic School is hosting its 15th annual Crab Feed Saturday to raise money for their students.
The crab feed is the school’s biggest fundraiser of the year, donating the funds toward student tuition and fees as well as staff salaries.
“It is low key, it is laid back and it is fun,” said Shannon Segale, St. Teresa’s secretary.
The event will host an all you can eat surf and turf dinner, a no-host bar, a silent auction, live music and dancing. The theme this year will be Route 66.
“We are a private school so this is a great way for the community to support the kids here and it benefits a greater education and community,” Segale said. “It is a lot of fun and it is also a great way to meet people in the community.”
There are about 500 tickets available for the event, and Segale said they are almost sold out for this year.
Tickets are $60 for an individual ticket, $500 for a table of 8 and $625 for a table of 10. Sponsorship opportunities are also available; with a Crab Feed only sponsorship ranging from $100 to $900 or a two event sponsorship to be used at both the Crab Feed and their annual Jog-A-Thon in May from $300 to $1,600.
The event will be held Saturday March 4 at the Community Center. Doors open at 5 and dinner begins at 6.
