Several trophies will be up for grabs at the 4th Annual Send a Scout to Camp Car and Truck Show to benefit Boy Scouts Troop 33.

A day of live music, vendors, food and displays of custom cars, motorcycles and trucks is in store at a fundraiser to benefit Boy Scouts Troop 33.

The fourth annual Send a Scout to Camp Car and Truck Show fundraiser is returning to Fuji Park on Aug. 12.

The event includes food by Warren Engine Co. No. 1. Other vendors include Jamba Juice, Karen Pineau of Timberline Topicals and crochet items by Leslie Worle.

In addition to the show, the event offers an auction with prizes ranging from transmission services, dinners and hotel packages.

Attendees are invited to bid on auction items and vote to help determine the best cars in each category.

The show begins at 10 a.m. with auctions following at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Trophies will be awarded at 3 p.m.

Although registration is available at the event, early registration is appreciated at www.carsonvalleycarsoncitynvtroop33.com.

The car show and auction raises funds to send Scouts to camp. Funds from last year’s event, which saw more than 100 participants, helped send local Scouts to Camp Marin Sierra and this year’s National Boy Scout Jamboree.

This year’s Jamboree attracted more than 40,000 scouts who heard from President Trump. Scouts also had the chance to visit several landmarks including the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Gettysburg and the Liberty Bell.

Event organizers say for many Scouts the trip would not have been possible without the support of last year’s car show.
