SmartAsset, a financial technology company, recently released its third annual study on the Best Places to Retire. Gardnerville followed by Boulder City were cited as the best town in Nevada for retirees based on five categories. Carson City placed sixth, Elko ninth and Fallon 10th. Reno/Sparks did not make the top 10. The study rates cities by their tax friendliness, recreational and social opportunities for seniors, and availability of medical care.
