The Meadow Wood fire has been contained with no structure damage.
According to authorities, it was started by a lawnmower.
The fire started around 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, about 1 acre in size, and threatened homes in Meadow Wood Drive area north of Carson City.
All air resources have been canceled.
Meadow Wood at Combs Canyon road is being closed.
