Miss Jeannie Winston appears to be one of the few women who can dress in tights as she has been an actress for many years. She is accompanied by a chaperone in the shape of a severe looking elderly lady, who acts as a guardian, counselor. All this goes to show actresses who behave themselves as ladies are welcomed everywhere.

Autocrats: A bill has been introduced to regulate reckless cavorting of the automobiles — some think it is great fun to frighten horses, some smart alecks deliberately back and fill directly in front of a snorting horse while they laughed at the discomforture (sic) of the driver.

One of the most effective methods of disposing of this brand of humorists is to jerk a six-shooter and begin plugging their rubber tires. The bill provides a solution that the owner of an auto that is frightening to a horse, get out and lead the animal past the auto.

Chinese: The Senate put its stamp of approval to permit Chinese nationals to own property in this state. Kenneth F. Johnson pointed out that the passage is of the utmost importance to continue friendly relations between the United States and its ally of World War II. There was not a dissenting vote.
