Atlantis Casino Resort Spa

The Reno Chalk Art Festival presented by Atlantis Casino Resort Spa announces its Call for Entries for artists.

The submission period has begun, and the entry form is available via atlantiscasino.com/chalk. Prospective artists may email questions to chalkart@atlantiscasino.com.

Submission must be received by Thursday, June 1. The Reno Chalk Art Festival will be held on July 8 – July 9.

U.S. Bank

U.S. Bank, the fifth largest commercial bank in the United States, announced that it has been recognized by the Ethisphere Institute, the global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices, as a 2017 World’s Most Ethical Company. This marks the third consecutive year U.S. Bank has earned this recognition.

As of the third quarter of 2016, Nevada has the fourth fastest growing private sector in the nation, with a 3.5 percent job growth rate during the first nine months of 2016. Utah, Idaho, and Florida currently lead the nation.

Total seasonally adjusted nonfarm jobs reached a new all-time high of 1.32 million in January, up 44,000 jobs or 3.5 percent over the year.

All sectors are experiencing job growth, with construction leading the way in percentage growth, up 7.3 percent over the year, while leisure and hospitality sector experienced the greatest nominal growth, up 10,000 jobs since January 2016, with a growth rate of 3 percent.

Itronics Inc.

Itronics Inc. reported 12,117,966 common shares, issued and outstanding, at Dec. 31, 2016. Based on the volume weighted average stock price of $0.294 for the 15 trading days prior to Dec. 31, 2016, the Company’s market cap is reported at $3,562,682.

Itronics has been informed by one of its distributor’s retailers that micronutrient fertilizers stored in totes for seasonal use are stable and completely useable after more than 11 years.

The Nevada Builders Alliance

The Nevada Builders Alliance announced Shaheen Beauchamp Builders LLC as the recipient of the Golden Hammer Award for its contribution to northern Nevada’s economic development for the 2016 expansion of Top Notch Distributors, Inc.’s Carson City distribution center.

The award will be presented at the Northern Nevada Development Authority Pioneer Awards dinner at the Carson Nugget Friday, March 31, beginning at 6 p.m.

Viratech Corp., a mobile and social networking technology company, will hold its annual shareholders meeting on Friday, March 31, beginning at 1 p.m. at the office at 429 Plumb Lane in Reno.

Ametherm

Representatives from Ametherm, based in Carson City, attended the Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition 2017, March 26-30 in Tampa, Fla.

Ametherm showcased its NTC and PTC inrush current limiting thermistors for circuit protection in high-power, high-voltage applications.

Pershing Resources

Pershing Resources Company, Inc., a Reno-based precious metals producer, has formed an advisory board to be comprised of professionals with expertise in the junior mining sector, as well as finance.

Serving on the board will be Joe Barton, a San Francisco-based attorney; Dean Gerald Ninnis, a Northern California entrepreneur, and Neil D. Novak, chief executive officer and director of Toronto-based BWR Exploration.

MGM

MGM Growth Properties Operating Partnership LP declared a cash distribution to all unit holders of record on March 31 of $0.3875 per unit for the first quarter. Simultaneously, a quarterly cash dividend of $0.3875 per Class A common share for the first quarter (which represents a dividend of $1.55 on an annualized basis) was declared. The dividends will be payable on April 13 to unit holders and shareholders of record as of the close of business on March 31.

David Morris Group

The David Morris Group, at RE/MAX Realty Affiliates, has earned the honor of being a RE/MAX Miracle Agent for their donations to the Children’s Miracle Network over the decades. In total, since partnering with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in 1992, RE/MAX agents have raised more than $147 million for the charity’s U.S. and Canada hospitals.

Douglas County 911 Emergency Services

Douglas County 911 Emergency Services was approved as an Emergency Fire Dispatch Center of Excellence on March 17 by the Board of Accreditation of the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch. Douglas County 911 Emergency Services earned the distinguished honor of becoming the 36th Emergency Fire Dispatch Accredited Center in the world and the first in the state of Nevada. Douglas County 911 Emergency Services is also the first dual accredited fire and medical accredited center in Nevada.

UK publication BUILD Magazine recently named Truckee’s Mark Tanner Construction one of the top commercial and residential interior design firms in California.

IGT

International Game Technology announced that tis SPHINX 4D game and Cardless Connect mobile software solution were named as two of Casino Journal’s Top 20 Most Innovative Gaming Technology Products Awards.

Advanced Pediatrics

Advanced Pediatrics began work on their new facility at 1625 E Prater Way in Sparks. The 15,000 square foot tenant improvement project, headed by Miles Construction and MBA Architecture + Interior Design, includes an interior remodel of an existing medical office space and warehouse, converting it to a children’s therapy facility.

Nevada Department of Agriculture

Nevada Department of Agriculture officials announced funding for the Specialty Crop Block Grant Program. Approximately $250,000 will be offered to projects that serve to enhance the competitiveness of Nevada’s specialty crops.

Neddenriep Financial

Neddenriep Financial, a local accounting firm, has pledged $4,000 to the Douglas County Senior Center. Last year, he pledged to support and sponsor the senior dining room and has done so again for the 2017 year. Neddenriep Financial serves Minden, Gardnerville, South Lake Tahoe and the surrounding areas of Carson Valley.

Haus of Reed

Western Nevada College’s dual-credit Jump Start College program was recently selected as the ACT College and Career Readiness State Exemplar Award recipient. In being recognized as the Nevada State Exemplar, WNC will be considered as a potential national semifinalist by an ACT selection committee, which will determine four national exemplars.

Linchpin Structural Engineering, Inc.

Linchpin Structural Engineering has been awarded a three-year contract by California State Parks to become the on-call historic structural engineer for the Northern Service Center. Linchpin is currently specifying repair work for Vikingsholm’s famous stone turrets at Lake Tahoe among other projects in California.

Resource Action Programs, a Nevada based company, has been awarded a three-year contract by Con Edison to implement a school-based energy education program in New York City and Westchester County, N.Y. beginning January 2017. Con Edison announced RAP as the bid winner on Friday, Dec. 9, 2016. The program will educate 5th grade students and their families on energy efficiency.

REIT IV, Inc.

American Healthcare Investors and Griffin Capital Company, the co-sponsors of Griffin-American Healthcare REIT IV, announced today that the REIT has acquired Reno Medical Office Building (commonly known as Saint Mary’s Center for Health), an approximately 191,000-square-foot Class A medical office building on the campus of the 380-bed St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Reno.
