The Carson City Thanksgiving Turkey Trot sponsored by St. Teresa Church will be held Thursday, Thanksgiving day. There will be 8K, 5K and 1-mile runs.
Registration is $35 and $40 the day of the race. There will also be a Kids Gobble Wobble 1/2-mile run for $15. Pumpkin pies and medals will be awarded to the top three finishers for men and women in the 8K and 5K runs.
The race will begin and end in front of the Governor’s Mansion on Mountain Street. Start times are 8:30 a.m. for the 8K, 8:35 for the 5K and 8:45 for the kids 1/2 mile run.
Post race activities will include hot cocoa, coffee, refreshments and awards.

The Carson Nugget will hold its annual free Thanksgiving feast in which more than 800 people are expected to be fed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Thanksgiving day.
