A motorcyclist was killed in a crash near Spooner Summit on Saturday.
Justin A. Breese, 19, of Pollack Pines, Calif., was identified as the victim.
Shortly before noon, Nevada Highway Patrol troopers were called to eastbound US 50 about 1 mile east of Spooner Summit for a serious injury crash involving a motorcycle.
Preliminary investigation indicates a black 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling eastbound on US 50 when the rider lost control of the motorcycle causing Breese to be ejected. Speed may be a contributing factor in this crash, NHP stated.
Trooper Doug Hildebrand of the Nevada Highway Patrol’s Multi-disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team is investigating this crash.
