TMCC hosts manufacturing job fair, open house next week.

Truckee Meadows Community College is sponsoring an open House for manufacturing technology programs at the William N. Pennington Applied Technology Center, and hosting a Technology Job Fair in celebration of National Manufacturing Day Oct. 6. The event is slated for Thursday, Oct. 5 from noon to 3 p.m. at 475 Edison Way in Reno. Thirty local and regional companies, including JCPenney Logistics and Distribution Center, to Jensen Precast, to Chewy.com, to Sierra Pacific Industries, will be on hand for the job fair. The Technology Job Fair is free and open to anyone who has completed a class at TMCC, current students, alumni, and prospective students. Employers registered for the fair. The open house is available for people interested in programs for machining, welding, drafting, advanced manufacturing, automation and robotics and is slated 1-33 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6 at the center.
