The Popcorn Stand: I’ll take Marianne over Keke

The old fuddy duddy is back on his “these kids today, whaddaya gonna do?” rants as I update the #InMyFeelingsChallenge or the #KekeChallenge as it’s also known.

Of course we’re getting too lazy to type #InMyFeelingsChallenge so it’s now becoming the #KekeChallenge. Why don’t we just refer to it as the #KChal and be done with it.

But I digress. Again this challenge makes no sense to me but it involves young people jumping out of moving cars and dancing to the Drake song “In My Feelings.” And doing it while there’s a lot of traffic around.

As I’ve written before whatever happened to stuffing a bunch of people in a volkswagen, eating gold fish or even hacky sack?

Anyway authorities are getting pretty tired of dealing with this In My Feelings Challenge stuff and are beginning to do something about it. Apparently in Florida if you do the In My Feelings Challenge you can get fined $1,000.

The state of Oklahoma has resorted to doing one of those publice service announcement signs over its highways. The sign says, “Buckle up, Keke. Stay in your car.”

I must admit until I did a little research and looked up the lyrics to “In My Feelings” I would’ve thought the phrase was some kind of cutsie message telling me to use my seat belt.

As far as I’m concerned if I want to look foolish I don’t have to jump out of my car to do it. I’ll just stay in my car and sing to the lyrics of “More Than a Feeling” when it comes on the radio.

Hey I think I’ve come up with something. The #MoreThanaFeeling Challenge or the #MarianneChallenge or just the #MChal.
